Sonny Angara is one of the Philippines’ foremost legislators, having authored and sponsored more than eighty laws over his fourteen-year political career. He is an advocate of social justice and education, pushing laws such as the Tax Exemption for Minimum Wage Earners Act, the Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Higher and Technical Education Act, and the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion Act. He currently serves as the Chair of the Local Government and Ways and Means Committees of the Philippine Senate, and continues to work for the upliftment of the Filipino family.
